your experience

of all the gin joints in all the world, why would you walk into mine?

Soulful black and whites, joyful candids. Film look, without the film cost. I’m not afraid of shadows, and go for moody tones with happy vibes. Rich, not dark. True colors, both visually and metaphorically. I’ll give you enough direction to help you look your absolute best, but still feel like yourself. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Film, and it informs how I see, what I capture, and how I tell your story. I may not take myself seriously, but I take what I do very seriously.

fine art storytelling with a documentary soul

This is your wedding, and you should enjoy the hell out of it. Elopements tend to be on the smaller side, and that means spending the day with your very favorite people (even if that’s just each other). I’m one of the only vendors you’ll have to spend your whole day with, and I think it’s important that I make you feel comfortable and fit the vibe for your celebration, not to add any fuss or hassle to your day. I will crack jokes while I help you move a table, give you space when you need it, and turn your memories into art that holds the chaos, the calm, the love, and the humor.

here for a good time

I believe that a little distortion makes a record sound better, and that family is what you make it. I believe that anything can be an adventure if you look at it in the right light. The most powerful images come from trust, presence, and honest connection, and I will give you space to be yourself. I focus on heirloom artwork because I want portraits of the people you love to live somewhere other than on your hard drive. I want to give you artful, honest photos of your people that are filled with emotion. Every frame will feel like a memory unfolding – real, personal, and full of life.

Unscripted, unforgettable.

the way i see it

begin your elopement story

You may be asking yourself, is what we’re doing even eloping, technically? Well… who the hell cares?

I’m not the word police. What I see as an elopement is a day built around intention, by couples who care more about meaning than tradition. Who march to the beat of their own drummer, or would maybe prefer a flute quartet instead. Who embrace the weird, the non-traditional, the things that make their hearts sing, even if nobody else gets it.

These are the kind of gatherings I specialize in, whatever you want to call them.

a loose interpretation of elopements

more about elopements

Does this lady know what she’s doing?

I studied Film at Chatham University, have spoken at conferences internationally, and have been doing this for 18 years. These are a few of the places that have published my work and hired me to speak:

From the rush of vows to the hush of new life, it’s all part of the same story. I tell love stories without the script – soulful, minimalist, and honest. My work is about the way it felt, not just how it looked. Capturing the wild, the quiet, the beautifully real. Because love doesn’t follow rules, and life doesn’t slow down for perfect. I make your memories into art, heirloom portraits for your whole life.

photography for every chapter of your story

engagement portraits

An opportunity to capture a specific point in your life that you can show your grandkids later (and use all over Facebook in the meantime). And while you'll have those portraits on your wedding day, it might be nice to also have some in your regular clothes.

elopements & intimate weddings

Opt out of the stress of perfect and embrace a day that reflects what you love. Have some damn fun! A small wedding (small is not a bad word around here) really opens up the possibilities for where you can have a heartfelt, intimate ceremony and a wild celebration with your favorite people. Non-traditional is my jam.

maternity portraits

Dramatic studio portraits, or laid back and candid. Mom alone, or the whole crew. It’s up to you. I know it may feel like you’re going to be pregnant forever and ever (especially those last few weeks), but one day you’ll be so glad to have these portraits of you and your baby before you met.

newborn & milestone portraits

Nobody puts baby in a bucket. Real life with a newborn is messy, beautiful, exhausting, and entirely yours. Your portraits will capture the wild love of day one – bleary eyes, tiny toes, and the everything-you-ever-wanted chaos. Minimal setup, maximum soul.

family portraits

A toddler does more before 9am than most people do all day. Family sessions focus on having a good time, because your personality shines through in your portraits when you do. No one sits still, and that’s kind of the point. Fierce, unruly joy captured in unposed, honest art.
