Jenn & Steven, Rainy and Romantic Canonsburg Wedding

You might remember these two from their engagement session with Linus the dog. I actually photographed this wedding just ten days before I had some major surgery (I now have some titanium rods in my spine, and am basically Wolverine.) So I had to let them know that their photos would take a little longer than usual to finish. They were super gracious about the whole thing, and were just the absolute nicest people to work with. Also, they are total goofballs. You'll see. We took portraits at Washington & Jefferson college, and their reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe in Canonsburg.Her dad makes the best surprise face.The boys had to fight some evil or whatever in the middle of our portrait session, which was really inconvenient.By the time we got back to it, it was starting to sprinkle. Then it started to seriously rain, but these two just rolled with it.This is exactly what the real Power Rangers would have done in this situation. Running back to the bus later, I heard one groomsmen yell "don't let it touch the ground!" And another, "it's not like the flag, you know!"This happened, by total coincidence, to be photo number 412. Terrible towels are magic.Their pastor told them to hold everything for three Mississippis, so that I'd have plenty of time to get the shot (a man after my own heart.) The first kiss after their cake cutting, someone yelled out "that was only one Mississipi!" So they did it again.This is my tenth year photographing weddings, and this is the first time I've ever seen this. The best man did his toast as a singalong, with lyrics that he wrote about Jenn and Steve, to the tune of "What's My Age Again?"We snuck out for a bit to do some sunset portraits, which I *super* recommend.
