and they’re here all month!
Family photos don’t have to be hard
We’re decking the halls at the studio! Well, we don’t really have any halls, but we’re gonna deck something for sure.
And instead of offering special sessions on only one day, I’m offering multiple time slots - weekdays, evenings, and weekends - from now until December 17th.
Get your crew all dolled up or pick out your favorite jammies, and let me make a portrait that you’ll be happy to put on the card this year.
Let’s take the stress out of sessions. Those are my kids, right there, on the left. Do you think my kids look like this all of the time? Do you think they looked like this for even most of their session? Please be serious. I expect your kids to be kids, because isn’t that what you really want to capture?
You want sibling hugs, and great expressions, and maybe a little mischief. You want a family photo that makes you smile. You want to feel joy and love and maybe a little bit of nostalgia already over how your family is in this moment.
We’ll achieve all that through some very light posing, and a lot of letting kids interact and connect and be themselves.

I will help you through the entire process. If you’re having a panic attack over putting together everyone’s wardrobes, I can help you with styling tips. You can text me photos from Target. I have two kids of my own, and have been photographing other people’s families for years, so I have lots of tricks to get everyone cooperating. Once we’re looking at finished portraits, I’ll even walk you through choosing the ones you love the most, and how you want to display them. This isn’t the kind of session where you show up, hope for the best, and I toss you a USB of images at the end. I’ve got you.

I don’t work with associate photographers, so if you book with me, you can trust that I’ll be the one photographing your session. I work with families and kids because every cliche you’ve ever heard about it is true. Babies don’t keep. They grow up so fast. The days are long, but the years are actually also long somehow. But I do get to keep memories on my walls, of the people my kids used to be and the people they’re becoming.
I have seventeen years of experience in photography, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Listen to these nice folks:

Despite the short time frame, your session won’t feel rushed.Fifteen minutes is a good balance between having the time to get a variety of portraits without pushing the limits of young ones’ attention spans. Sessions will be held in our cozy West Brownsville studio.

All that’s left is the frequently asked questions!
“Is this just for families?”
No! We allow both people and pets in the studio, so you can book holiday portraits for your family, just the kids, couples, just your own beautiful self, your pup, your beautiful self and your pup, etc. and so forth. These are for everybody!
“How long is our session?”
You’ll have a 15 minute block for your session. We’ll do a few poses so that you have some options, and can make time if you want portraits of individuals. One package does also include more time. Get in touch and I’ll send all of the options to you.
“How much is it?”
Starts at $120. There are other packages that include things like more digital files, cards, ornaments, and more. Get in touch and I’ll send all of the options to you.
“What if I want more digital files?”
You can add on to any of the listed packages. Also if you want me to make a little custom package just for you, we can talk about it. Get in touch!
“What if I want something not listed here?”
Let me know! I try to keep the list small enough to not be overwhelming, but I have tons of vendors that sell tons of things. I’ll see what I can do.
“What if I have to reschedule?”
Your deposit will transfer for one reschedule. Two if you have like, a REALLY good reason.
“Will we have everything in time for Christmas?”
That depends on when you book. Turnaround time for digital products is three days after your session, for any physical products that have to be shipped, turnaround time is 11 days after your session. I will say that for physical products, I’m relying on estimates from the shippers, and it is a bit out of my hands, so it never hurts to pad that a bit more.
“Where are these happening?”
In our brand new studio! It’s at 5 Bridge Blvd, in West Brownsville. If you’re familiar with the area, it’s right next to where Dukman’s was. It also has an enormous sign painted on the side that says “Wood & Wire Studio,” so it’s hard to miss. Parking is around the back of the building in a gravel lot, right by the door.
