We’ll capture what the people you love are really like, right now, and not an idealized, posed to perfection version of them. Portrait sessions can be about more than just making photos, we can make memories, too! Consider some activities that your family loves, and incorporate them! We can capture your family having a picnic, climbing rocks, making pancakes, or whatever brings you all some joy. Let your kids be kids.
Sessions can be done in-home, outdoors, or in our cozy studio in West Brownsville. I want to make it easy for you to have beautiful portraits of the people you love most. We have time for snack breaks, clothing changes, and quiet moments if that’s what your family needs. No stress.

wildlings
Wildlings sessions are my signature kid session. Some of my very favorite photos of my sons are taken when we’re out exploring. I find a relatively safe space for them out in nature, let ‘em go, and then document whatever they get into. Climbing over tree roots, inspecting rocks, giggling at bugs, leading the way. We have a ton of fun, and we get amazing photos from it.
So I want to do that for your kids, and that’s what wildlings sessions are. If your kids love to be outside, and don’t love siting still, this is a great way to capture them in their element. I won’t be posing your kids, telling them where to sit or what to do with their face. I’ll be following them around and documenting them doing their kid thing. We explore, we get messy, we have fun. And you get beautiful photos.
Creative fee
The creative fee for any family or wildlings session is $185. Once you’ve paid your creative fee, I’ll get you on my calendar, and we’ll work out all of the details for your session. After that, we have some fun and make great photos. I also offer milestone sessions for kids, like cake smashes and birthday portraits, those are listed on the newborn page.
Ordering appointment
I used to just send clients on their way with digital files from their sessions, which is how most people do it. But that makes it your job to find a lab to print your photos, to make sure the color is correct, the cropping is right for the frame, picking out mats, all of those steps between having a file and having a finished portrait that you can hang in your home. So usually, almost always actually, people just don't do any of that. They look at their files, they throw the USB drive in a drawer somewhere, and then that's it. Instead, I want your session to end with finished pieces that go on your wall, or your bookshelf, or your coffee table, so that they can bring you joy every time you look at them. Files hiding in a folder somewhere on your hard drive aren't bringing you joy.
After your session, you'll come back in to view your photos. Now, I know that seems like an extra step and who has the time? But I do it this way because it honestly, really is easier and less time consuming than you doing it on your own. I'm not interested in doing a hard sell, there's no surprise minimum purchase, I just want to help you to pick out exactly what you want with no email back and forth. In fact, you can view my whole entire pricing list right now. We take maybe an hour to look at portraits, eat some snacks, and decide on what you want to order. There's no packages, you purchase only what you love as a totally finished piece to have in your home, and every image that you purchase comes with its matching digital file.
