Alicia & Pat's Wedding at the Amish Door Inn
We're not too far from the Cleveland side of Ohio, and I already drove out once to hang out with these two for their engagement session. I was super happy to travel that way again for their laid back wedding at the Amish Door Inn. It was beautiful, and chill, and full of joy all at the same time. They skipped a few traditional reception events, like the first dance, but added some fun things of their own, like a caricaturist. I've actually never seen that at a wedding, and all of the guests loved it. But let's begin at the beginning. With this dress. Where's that heart eyes emoji...Cool headpieces for everyone! They had a lot of really nice details, like this engraved ring box.Still life with XBox. Often the menfolk ask me what they're supposed to do, while I'm photographing the getting ready shots. Basically whatever y'all would be doing if I wasn't poking around with a giant camera, except with pants on. I think Pat suggested this shot as a goof, but they do look pretty damn cool. This bed wants you to take photos in it. Have a little Gone With the Wind moment.Gimme that Blue Steel.Apparently, some folks don't like cake. I know, I don't get it either, but they insist it's a thing. Those folks get a wedding pie.It makes my little heart sing when folks want to go out for sunset portraits. If you can steal away from your reception, even for 10 minutes, it is so so worth it.
