Smoke Bombs in the Strip District
Sometimes, I second shoot weddings for other photographers. It's a fun break for me, because basically the ONLY thing that I'm doing is showing up to take pictures that day. I feel like mostly people picture a photographer spending all of their time doing rad shoots in beautiful locations between jaunts to the nearest Starbucks, but I spent most of my work hours at the computer, in our little home office. Second shooting is all photos, with almost no computer time. Also, it means I get to work with other photographers and see how they do their thing. When you work with sandrachile, sometimes that involves setting up smoke bombs in an alley and trying to refrain from making Krieger jokes.Since I'm not the one delivering photos, though, I'm SUPER slow about actually editing through and blogging them, which is why I'm just getting around to this one that I got to work with my girl Sandra from like... last year? Their ceremony was in the library at the Heinz History Center in the Strip District with a reception at the Smallman Galley. And their ringbearer was their adorable pup, Beaker.
